2012

Sure seemed like this year started out slowly, what with the ill-fated BCS National Championship game on January 9th.  However, it's now back full on, going full speed ahead. 
Looking forward to going to Mardi Gras in Washington DC in a couple of weeks and having a good time visiting with friends, legislators and congressmen.
January is almost gone, but February is looking positive. 

Getting ready for trip to NYC

When my niece Lainey was three and started taking dance classes, I told her when she turned 13 I'd take her to New York so she could go see Broadway.  Well, she turned 13 on Sunday and we're off to the Big Apple tomorrow. 
I am so excited about watching her see all the big city sites and just the two of us spending time together!  And I'm really glad that her brother Tyler doesn't remember that I told him I'd buy him a corvette when he turned 16 (which he does in September!!)

Great day at the beach

Every time I spend time at the beach I remember what it is that draws me back. Total relaxation is the best reason to come. The knots melt from my neck. I sleep late. I read. This is what renews me. I'm so grateful to be able to indulge in something that makes me return to my center. Easter is the perfect time for this type of reneweal. Happy Easter everyone.

Revelations on the Redneck Riviera

First ever blog post. Because I told Danny and Lisa I could figure it out. Came in to get out of the heat of the day. Resting on the cool sofa and tryng to figure this out technologically. Now all I need to do is figure out how to upload pictures!
